The speaker then introduced the judges for the competition Dr. Avishek Ray and Prof. Yogesh Karunakar and explained the rules to everyone. The participants were divided into two groups where the judges in each group evaluated them on the basis of their presentation skills, confidence, clarity and content. Twelve teams across different institutes have participated and gave captivating presentations. Each team was given 7 minutes to present their PPT’s on any one of the topics given and 1 minute for question-and-answer session. In each group IETE coordinator was present to keep a track of time of the presentation.

Prior to the announcement of the winners, the judges gave their comments and words of wisdom to the students so as to further improve their presentation skills. Out of all the participants top three winners were announced. The first winner won a prize of free IIRS Course/value added course and the runners-up were rewarded with the winning certificates. Everyone congratulated the winners for their achievements. In the end the event was concluded with the vote of thanks to all the participants, organizing team and the faculty members.

Congratulations to the IETE ISF team of KCCEMSR for getting the Best IETE ISF Award for its active participation and conduction of activities during academic 21-22 on November 13 2021.

Career Opportunities in Industrial Automation” on behalf of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, IETE-ISF of Excelsior Education Society’s K.C. College of Engineering and Management Studies and Research was organized for all the students of EXTC for enhancing their job prospects and opportunities in the area of Automation. She gave the overall view about the areas of automation where our students fit in and what all skills are required for the same

1. The IETE-ISF Team organized a TECH-TALK session with Alumni to share their experience and guidance in the outside world, which they faced after stepping out of the institution.
2. The event started by the introductory part of Mr.Pritam Sahu who is a technical officer in INDIAN NAVY, He started the session by presenting a short motivating video of Indian Navy. Then Mr. Sahu explained us the various career spectrum for people of various interest starting from Music to Artillery.
3.  The second session of Tech talks with alumni organized by IETE The session started with introducing our alumni speaker of this afternoon Mr. Raunak Salvi. He is currently pursuing MS in Electrical systems Engineering at the University of Paderborn, Germany . Today's session was about how to prepare for higher studies at abroad. At the beginning of this session he compares the difference between the education system of Germany and other countries and how German universities are focused in research oriented study unlike India and other countries. He explains the academic eligibility criteria for applying to German universities to study masters.

In the last few years, the world of engineering is undergoing tremendous changes and developments. To keep pace with the current trends and challenges in any discipline, one has to continuously upgrade his skills. The Guest Lecture on “Design of Microwave Sensor for BioMedical Application using MIC technology” under IETE provided a forum for discussing advancements and directions for innovative design methodology of Microwave sensors and related application areas using MIC technology.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organised 6 days Online STTP on Embedded System Design under VLSI Learning Centre and IETE to enlighten on research, new technologies trends and opportunities in the field of ESD. Sessions were covered with 8 eminent and versatile speakers, from Industry and Academia, who are experts in their respective fields with outstanding experience in Embedded System Design. There were around 300 registrations from all over India.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized 6 days of Online STTP on Embedded System Design under VLSI Learning Centre and IETE to enlighten on research, new technologies trends, and opportunities in the field of ESD. Sessions were covered with 8 eminent and versatile speakers, from Industry and Academia, who are experts in their respective fields with outstanding experience in Embedded System Design. There were around 300 registrations from all over India.

IQAC, R&D Cell and department of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer and Information Technology organized FDP on Research Funding Projects and IPR Part II.

Online 3 Days FDP was jointly organized by Department of Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Engineering & Information Technology, IQAC, and R & D Cell, K C College of Engineering and Management Studies and Research in a pandemic situation to enlighten on research, new technologies trends and opportunities for the researchers, IPR, and project funding, to whom those who are eager to enter the research areas. Sessions were covered with 7 eminent and versatile speakers, from Industry and Legal domains, who are experts in their respective fields with outstanding experience in research, IPR and Patenting. More than 1200 participants had registered.

The objective of Hackathon is to have Team building, Networking. Intense problem-solving which facilitate the creation of innovative ideas and concepts and Talent Acquisition where the students can go beyond their reach and see how much talent and concept is needed to make one project successful. Keeping this view in mind the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Engineering and Information Technology of K.C. College of Engineering & Management Studies & Research under the banner of IETE- SF, CSI & IIC Organised Orion Hack-2021 National level online Hackathon It was a 24 hours event that started at 11 A.M on 11-May-2021 and ended at 11 A.M on 12-May-2021. From all over India, the responses received total 22 teams registered for the event. The participants had enrolled from various states like Maharashtra Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Telangana making the Hackathon a success.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized a “Dr. Rajendra Prasad Birth Anniversary Celeberation” for all the students & faculties. The session started with the speech given by H.o.D Electronics & Telecommunication Dr. Baban U. Rindhe who has given insights of Dr. Rajendra Prasad. He has given brief biography of Dr. Rajendra Prasad & motivated all the students to follow the qualities of him & never gave up for anything. After this Principal Sir Dr. Vilas Nitnaware explained the importance of contribution of Dr. Rajendra Prasad by giving a short story. The event ended with vote of thanks.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized a An Inauguration Program for VLSI Learning Centre for the students of SE, TE, BE EXTC . The expert was Dr. Sanjeev Keskar who is working as Managing Director India at Arrow Electronics a leading Electronic component global distribution company since June 2015.

The department took this initiative of beginning this learning Centre as our EXTC students needed more exposure for the core domain. Expert has motivated students for the field of VLSI Design & Semiconductor Technology by describing its various Challenges & Opportunities. Expert had given a brief idea about economical growth through electronics manufacturing in future. Expert explained how India needs high value ecosystem.

. Overall the students got a practical insight on how they can proceed with an application of VLSI and how one can make their own career in it

K.C. College of engineering and management studies and research has organized  “One Day Workshop On Design Of Mini-projects Without Hardware ” for the students of Third year of engineering of EXTC branch. Assistant Professor Shubhangi Verulkar conducted workshop on How to design mini-projects without hardware using Tinkercad and other simulators. students enjoyed learning on online platform and assured that they will design mini-projects on simulators as during this covid-19 situation its difficult to manage hardware components requirement.

The department of IIC, R&D and EXTC organized Webinar on Design of Microwave Amplifiers & Quality in Electronics Manufacturing.

Mr Shankar Nair Director of Akademika Lab Solutions explained the whole demonstration on different antenna & its working along with various patterns of different readings. He gave an idea on how the old system works & how this system will be a boon to the students & to the college.

After explaining the entire concept of antenna, he explained about Optical fiber & its application related to the syllabus. He again gave a proper insight about various fibers with different reading & output.

To commemorate the birthday of Sir C.V Raman & to mark the foundation day of IETE, the Department of electronics & telecommunication organized a session on 2nd November 2018 where a guest lecture was arranged. The speaker for the day was Our special guest Dr Munir Sayyad who is presently working as Associate Vice President – Reliance Jio.

The session started with a speech by our HoD Dr Baban U Rindhe on IETE foundation day & shared the chairman’s speech for the same.

In his lecture he discussed & shared some insights on how telecommunication plays an important role in the industry & how fast this branch is achieving big new innovative projects under JIO. He encouraged the students to think beyond their limits & try their best to establish themselves once they are out of the college. He emphasized the importance of engineering & research for the developments of various application in telecom industry. He guided the students to be like Dr C.V Raman & how he never gave up on his work.

Objective: To make the students technologically strong with new innovative knowledge of Raspberry Pi & its application.

Ms Pratiksha Pandao, CEO & Founding Director of Eledia Technologies was the speaker for the day who gave an insight about what is raspberry pi & how it has evolved since its inception. The students were introduced about various version of raspberry pi embedded board with its architecture. Various properties and implementation of the same were discussed. The students were able to understand the application of IoT through various examples. The workshop was as a domain for student’s career step and was also useful for the students in the new technology.

 With full enthusiasm IETE Student Forum (ISF) has been inaugurated at Department of Electronics and Telecommunication under the support of student on 24th August 2018. The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading standard professional society dedicated to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT, founded in 1953. It is our pleasure to inaugurate the ISF at our college. The IETE Students' Forum of has been set up with around 80 student members belonging to SE to BE year, from EXTC department through the involvement of faculty members.

                     The major focus of IETE is to provide engineering education i.e. Degree and Diploma level certifications to younger generation at affordable cost. The purpose of ISF is to give a platform for the student members to exchange ideas by organizing/participating technical programs and activities. They would get the benefit for technical visits / practical training / project work in R&D laboratories/ industries that increases their spirit of self-reliance and professionalism.

Yet another Seminar on “CISCO Networking” was given by Ms Rakhee Sonawane who illuminated the concept of networking from ancient age to modern era which was thought provoking and lucid but very informative. The lecture was a bridging gap between the academic & practical knowledge on networking & its application

The program was ended with a vote of thanks and lot of promises and hope for future.

 Numerical subjects are sometimes difficult to understand & more than the understanding, their application in practical domain is never thought about. So the faculty of Mathematics (Prof. Pallavi C)  & SS (Prof Christina B) took an initiative to arrange a Guidance lecture by BE students of EXTC.  As the right people are these seniors who can correctly guide, direct them & explain the SE Students about the future aspects of the subjects.

D. in Dept. of Electronics & Telecommunication. the objective of guest lecture is to get awareness of latest research and advancements in CMOS VLSI Technology

A Guest Lecture on “Advancements and Career scope in MEMS Technology” was arranged by The Faculty  for the students from T. E. EXTC  on  13th March 2018 at 11:30 am. Dr. Nitin Kale, IIT Bombay was the speaker of the day, who works as   Chief Technology Officer at Nanosniff Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Various MEMS  devices, opportunities and career options in MEMS technology and fabrication of devices was discussed along with research area, also the doubt solving of students was entertained positively at every stage.

In order to build & enhance the skills of TE students of Electronics & Telecommunication, the faculties of TE came up with an objective to make them grow with skills that will play an important role not only in this time but also after becoming an engineer. The conference comprises of two groups, one with Paper Presentation & other with Poster Presentation depending on the subject assigned to them along with the faculties.

Our two teams went for a National level Project competition at (Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) Pune which is operated by the NCRA-TIFR under the control of DAE, Govt. of India on   28th February 2018 and on 1st March 2018 .  Mr Ronak S & Mr Kaushik S were one team who’s topic was: “Weather Prediction and Easy Evacuation using Satellite Communication”. The other team was Mr Dhruv B & Mr Satish C & their topic was” Clairvoyant Raven:- Smart Drone For Wildfire Detection”. Both the teams were assisted by Prof Sushma K & Prof Deepali K from Mumbai to Pune. The first winners were Mr Ronak & Mr Kaushik & the runner up were Mr Dhruv B & Mr Satish C. Both the teams were encouraged, guided  by their project mentors Prof Jayashree K & Prof Rajiv I.

Mr. Mukesh was the chief coordinator of the workshop on “Arduino based projects(Embedded projects)” which was conducted by Robokart in association with Innovation cell, IIT Bombay.  The objective of workshop was to provide effective knowledge about Arduino based projects and teach students about internetworking of physical devices, embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity that enable these objects to collect and exchange data.

An Industital visit to "Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited", Ghansoli was organized by our department on 8 and 9 February,2018.  Final year students  along with faculties Prof. Reeta Shaktivel and Prof. Rupinder Kaur visited to Reliance Jio's LDC center to understand current market scenarios, latest most demanding technologies and future products and their applications.

Students were guided for the  same and were encouraged to learn advancement in the field of Electronics Engineering. Overall session was interactive and helpful to the students for selecting their field.

This guest lecture held on  23 January,2018 by our alumni Mr. Dinesh Pansare for final year students to bridge the gap for internet and voice communication subject.

Mrs. Preeti Lodaya as a subject incharge started the session with covering the basics required to get into deep information and industrial requirement, which was explained by the expert.

With emerging technologies, the faculties also need to be upgraded so the department had organized a “Faculty development program on “Design of Internet of things & Microwave Signals & Systems” approved by AICTE-ISTE  where the faculties were given a hands-on approach.

As today’s young generation need some persuading for their future endeavors, the department had organized a Special Talk for SE & TE students by one of the excellent Alumnus Mr Siddharth Sharma 2014 passed out student was Held on 29th September 2017 for EXTC SE and TE students .It was based on his experience in the campus .He guided the students to achieve success.

Our department arranged this workshop on 30/9/15 and 1/10/15 for second and third year students. An eminent speaker of this two days workshop was Prof. Anita Diwakar from IIT BOMBAY.

As 10K participants _ Faculty & Researchers from all over India attended online 4 days - Faculty Development Program on #Research, #Funding #Projects & #IPR* on May 7th to 10th, 2020.
