A modern knowledge centre supporting teaching, learning, research, and self-development.
The K.C. College of Engineering Library, established in 2001, is located on the fourth floor and covers an area of 402 square meters. It features the Books Stack Section, Reading Section, Circulation Section, E-Library, Reference Section, and Periodical Section.
The library operates as a fully automated system using the KOHA Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) and an Online Public Access System (OPAC), enabling users to quickly access resources.
The library has sufficient windows, modernized focus lights, fans, and CCTV surveillance. It is open from 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM. The reading hall accommodates 150 students with modern furniture, optimal lighting, and ventilation.

Library Rules & Regulations
General Rules
- Students must wear their college ID cards in the library and present them whenever requested by the library staff.
- Students are required to make a mandatory entry in the Daily Visitor Register.
- Students must leave their personal belongings at the baggage counter and are not allowed in the reading section area.
- Students should maintain silence in the library. Group discussions are not allowed; students may use the open area outside the library.
- All resources taken for reading must be returned to the counter. Eating and refreshments inside the library are strictly prohibited.
- Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent mode. Talking or non-educational mobile use is prohibited.
Circulation Rules
- Students may borrow up to four books for ten days. Books can be renewed only twice and cannot be renewed when in demand.
- For books returned late, a fine of Rs. 2 per day per book will be charged.
- Staff members can issue 10 books for 30 days and renew once for 15 days.
- Reference books and periodicals are for library reading only and will not be issued for home reading.
- Lost books must be replaced with the latest edition. Do not tear, mark, or fold pages; fines for damage are based on the condition of the book.
E-Library Guidelines
- Students can search online databases, e-books, and e-journals subscribed by the college library.
- External memory devices such as CDs, DVDs, and pen drives are not permitted.
- Computers must be used carefully and internet browsing is restricted to educational purposes. Social media browsing is not allowed.
- Students must not unplug system wires. Use only an empty switch socket for laptop charging.
- Handle E-Library hardware carefully. Ask any library staff member for assistance. Violations of library rules may result in strict action.
Services
- Circulation: Students may borrow up to four books for ten days under the home lending facility.
- Reference Service: Assistance with reader queries and relevant print and electronic documents.
- Current Awareness Service: Latest journal contents are shared with students and faculty.
- Newspaper Clipping Service: Important college, university, and general-topic articles are maintained and displayed.
- Display of New Arrivals: New books are listed and displayed for fifteen days.
- Internet / Wi-Fi Facility: Library computers provide internet and online-resource access.
- Book Bank Facility: Book sets are available for socially and economically backward students.
- Web OPAC: The collection can be searched 24×7 by author, title, subject, keyword, and more.
- Question Paper Service: Previous years’ question papers are maintained for academic support.

Copying, publishing, disseminating, displaying, performing, or playing these materials without permission of the copyright holder, except as permitted by fair use or licensing agreements, is prohibited. The library may terminate the membership of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights.
Licensing Restrictions
Electronic resources listed on the website are governed by license agreements and may be used solely for research, teaching, and private study. Commercial use, systematic downloading, copying, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
